What Does a Strut Tower Brace Do?
The purpose of a strut tower brace is to reduce flex that the towers experience during hard cornering. When taking a turn the DeLorean's strut towers normally flex, resulting in body flex and loss of traction. Our aluminum strut braces lock the top of your strut towers together to provide greater stiffness and reduced chassis flex when cornering. It's a difference you can truly feel.
Performance
Our strut tower brace improves chassis rigidity and steering precision under high load conditions (cornering and braking). Other benefits of a strut brace include reducing understeer, tire wear, and metal fatigue in the strut tower area.
Does anything have to be cut or modified to install?
Our strut tower brace is easily bolted on. Nothing has to be cut or removed. You may cut holes in your trunk carpet, but we prefer just folding the edges of the carpet over, as to easily return the car to a stock appearance. Installation instructions are included.
Returns are accepted if not satisfied. See return policy.
A difference will be felt immediately, especially in hard cornering.
